Job Summary

Transport Maintenance & Engineering Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Air Condition Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in a variety of heavy vehicles. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise, and is vital to ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in heavy vehicles.
• Diagnosis of technical issues and implementation of effective solutions in trucks & other vehicles, using diagnostic tools & procedures.
• Service & clean airconditioning systems including refridgerant recovery & charging.
• Maintain detailed records & documentation of all work carried out.
• Getting in the workshop & assisting in other areas where needed.
• Have a good attitude & share your knowledge - provide support to other technicians & apprentices.
• Adherence to industry safety standards and regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service, including explaining technical issues in understandable terms.
• Current ARCTICK refridgerant handeling licence.
• Proven experience as a HVAC service technician with at least 3 years experience.
• High attention to detail & quality work.
• Be prepared to work remotely occasionaly.
• A valid drivers licence.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (UEE32220). Previous experience in a similar role, especially within the heavy vehicle mechanic industry, will be highly regarded. Knowledge of the metric system for all weights and measures is essential.
