Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the panel shop, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control.

• Oversee a team of panel beaters, painters, and other technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles and provide accurate, detailed estimates for the required repairs.

• Coordinate repair schedules, manage job allocation and maintain timelines to meet customer expectations.

• Liaise with insurance companies, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and transparent communication.

• Maintain comprehensive records of all repair work, parts usage, and labour costs.

• Continuously monitor and improve workshop efficiency and productivity.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and insurance companies.

• Handle administrative tasks, including job costing, invoicing and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

What we're looking for

• Australian certification in either Automotive Spray Painting or Panel Repairs.

• Extensive experience in the automotive repair industry, with a proven track record as a panel shop manager or estimator

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and the use of specialised equipment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient in using estimating software and other relevant industry tools

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• A valid driver's licence and the ability to work in Broome, WA
