Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled First Fix Carpenter to join our team on a subcontract basis. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for providing first fix carpentry tasks, including the installation of wall frames, roof trusses, windows, and door frames. This role requires both precision and creativity, and is essential in setting the groundwork for all subsequent construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Correctly interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Prepare and install building framework, including walls, floors, and doorframes
• Assembling and installing structures and fixtures of wood and plywood.
• Ensure work is carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Conform to all relevant safety regulations

Candidate Qualifications

• Relevant carpentry qualifications and solid experience in first fix carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communicational skills and ability to work as part of a team
