The Role

Working as a full-time General Hand, you'll be reporting to the Operations Leader, assisting with day-to-day preparations and duties that would include excavation and shoring works, along with any further required Burial duties. You'll be following work schedules, seasonal operations, occupational health and safety legislation, codes of practices and industry standards. In addition to this, you will:

  • Assist in gravedigging operations and preparation of burial sites.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assist with on-ground queries from the general public (directions, daily services).
  • Operate equipment including Utes, Excavators, Trucks, Tractors, Buggies, Scissor Lifts, Bobcats, Front end Loader, Backhoe, manual and mechanical tools
  • Uphold organisational values and standards of excellence.


About you:

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Display commitment to safety protocols and manual handling.
  • Hold a valid Australian Driver's License with manual capabilities.
  • Have strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

In addition, it would be highly desirable if you had:

  • MR Truck license or higher.
  • Additional relevant qualifications (e.g., excavator, loader).
