About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Lead Educator Plumbing to support the effective delivery of vocational education and training programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, drive teaching excellence, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, assess and coordinate high-quality vocational education programs
  • Mentor and support teaching staff across multiple programs
  • Coordinate course administration including timetabling, enrolment planning, and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
  • Engage with industry and community stakeholders to enhance program relevance
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and learner-centred environment
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic's values


Skills and Experience Required

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
  • AQF Level 6+ qualification in adult or vocational education, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' industry experience in plumbing or related field
  • Extensive teaching experience with strong understanding of learner-centred methodologies
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ICT skills
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate educational programs
  • Knowledge of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
