Angaston Motors is a family-owned business established in 1949. Angaston Motors is the RAA Roadside Service Contractor for the Barossa Region. We require an experienced Automotive Technician with proven ability to work with a range of vehicles according to best-practice standards.

We are your One Stop Barossa Pit Stop servicing and maintaining all makes and models of cars and agricultural vehicles. We also have an extensive spare parts and automotive accessories section.

Angaston Motors prides itself on team work and supporting motorsports and the vehicle enthusiasts in the Barossa.

You need to be somebody who enjoys working in a team environment, supporting locals and the Motorsport and vehicle enthusiasts’ industries.

Role Description:

  • Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a range of taxi vehicles engines, brakes and electrical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs in a friendly and clear manner.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment. 
  • Change engine and transmission oils. 
  • Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles. 
  • Roadworthy Testing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
  • Cleaning equipment and work areas.
  • Are reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
  • Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Skills required for the role

  • Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience along with formal qualifications (at least Certificate III)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
