Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and certified Panel Beater to join the team at L & M Smashed Repairs Pty Ltd. With a Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology (AUR40720), you will be responsible for performing body repair and refinishing, while ensuring that the finished product is safe, cost-effective and of high-quality. This is a full-time position located in Seven Hills NSW Australia. The salary for this role is $40 - $55 per hour depending on your skills and capabilities. You will have quarterly performance reviews with half yearly pay rises on offer along with bonuses and incentives available 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess damaged vehicles and identify repair requirements, using knowledge of car body repair techniques and materials.
• Remove damaged panels from the vehicle in preparation for repairs.
• Perform repairs to vehicle body panels, including reshaping and refitting straightened metal panels using hammers, dollies and other tools.
• Replace damaged panels using glue, screws, rivets or welding equipment.
• Fill imperfections and dents in panels using plastic filler.
• Smooth finishing of repaired surface with specialist tools to restore original contours.
• Check completed work for accuracy using measuring tools and equipment.
• Carry out inspections of all work carried out to ensure quality standards are met.

What We Are Looking For:
• Someone with a Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology (AUR40720) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a qualified Panel Beater with a good understanding of how to safely and efficiently repair vehicles.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and methodically when repairing vehicles.
• Strong problem solving skills, along with the ability to think quickly on your feet.
