About the Role

This is a rare leadership opportunity to guide Engineering, Fabrication and Locksmithing programs across multiple campuses. You’ll lead and support a dedicated teaching team, drive innovation in delivery, and ensure programs remain relevant, compliant, and future-focused – shaping great outcomes for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and educational leadership across Engineering, Fabrication and Locksmithing
  • Coordinate timetables, workloads, and resources to ensure smooth delivery
  • Support and develop staff to build strong, cohesive teams
  • Oversee compliance with Training & Assessment Strategies (TAS) and audit requirements
  • Strengthen industry connections and validate programs for workforce needs
  • Monitor budgets and contribute to long-term planning
  • Drive continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes for students

Skills and Experience Required

 

You’re an experienced VET educator and leader who thrives on collaboration and impact. You’ll bring:

  • A trade qualification in Engineering, Fabrication or Locksmithing
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in vocational education, with leadership or coordination responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of RTO compliance and vocational education policy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and support teaching teams
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • A National Police Check
