Spray Painter / Vehicle Refinisher (Qualified or Apprentice) – Full Time
Pelican Motors Service Centre Paint & Panel is a locally owned and operated automotive repair business located in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. As a growing Repco Authorised Service Centre and Paint & Panel workshop, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and maintaining a positive team culture.
Due to continued growth, Pelican Motors Service Centre Paint & Panel is seeking either an experienced Automotive Spray Painter or a motivated Apprentice Spray Painter to join our friendly and professional team. An attractive remuneration package will be offered based on experience, skills and stage of apprenticeship.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role within our busy Paint & Panel workshop involving all aspects of vehicle preparation and refinishing, including:

Surface preparation, sanding and masking

Colour matching and paint mixing
-
Spray painting vehicles and vehicle components
-
Buffing, polishing and finishing work
-
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Working closely with our Paint & Panel team to ensure quality repairs and timely completion of jobs
Apprentices will receive ongoing training and mentoring while developing their skills alongside experienced tradespeople.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you are:

A qualified Automotive Spray Painter, or
-
Currently completing an Automotive Spray Painting apprenticeship, or
-
Looking to commence an Automotive Spray Painting apprenticeship and have a genuine passion for the automotive industry.
You will also have:

Strong colour matching skills (or a willingness to develop these through training)

Great attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

A positive attitude and strong work ethic

The ability to work well within a team
-
A willingness to learn and continually improve

A current driver's licence (or be working towards obtaining one)
