Job Summary:
As a Qualified Diesel Mechanic, you will be an essential part of our team, carrying out inspections, diagnostic tests, repairs, and maintenance of diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks. You will be working on a Full Time, Casual or Subcontract basis, ensuring that our fleet of vehicles is always in the best condition, ready for transporting goods across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy vehicles equipment.
- Conduct necessary repairs or parts replacement to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulation
- Diagnose malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and make appropriate repairs
- Communicate effectively with team and management about repair progress and necessary adjustments
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120) or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role within the heavy vehicle mechanic industry
- Strong understanding and application of safety measures and environmental protection protocols
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
