THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $82.01 - $88.60 p/h + 11% super
Location: Moorabbin campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Casual

Working within Holmesglen Faculty of Building, Construction Design and Electrotechnology, the Teacher – Electrical position requires a knowledgeable and experienced educator to inspire the next generation of Electrical Trades students. Share your skills, knowledge and experience in Solar, electrical fitting, domestic work, commercial work and build the skills, qualifications, and employability, to support the career goals of our electrical pre apprentices and apprentices!

This role does not require your full-time commitment, you will be able to continue to run your business while teaching casually at Holmesglen Institute.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current industry knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being delivered, with a particular emphasis on current technology and industry practice.
  • Experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
  • Ability to convey knowledge, skills, and experience to a diverse student population through the selection and use of a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies.
  • An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122); or predecessors as a minimum.
