About the Role
As a Teacher Under Supervision, you will deliver vocational and non-vocational training in Electrotechnology under the guidance of an experienced educator. You'll contribute to curriculum planning, student engagement, and continuous improvement while building strong industry connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess training activities under supervision
- Create inclusive and safe learning environments
- Support students through pastoral care and referrals
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments
- Engage with industry and vocational education networks
- Participate in professional development to maintain vocational currency
- Ensure compliance with Melbourne Polytechnic policies and VET standards
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant vocational qualifications in Electrotechnology
- A Grade Electrical License
- Demonstrated industry experience
- Actively working towards a training and assessment credential (e.g., TAE40122 or equivalent), or holding a relevant skill set or secondary teaching qualification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to accurate record-keeping and compliance
- Understanding of OH&S and anti-discrimination legislation
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
