About the role
Atkinson’s Mitre10 are currently seeking an outgoing individual to join our experienced trade team. We are looking for an individual with great customer service skills, trade knowledge, enthusiasm and a great work ethic.
This is a full-time position 38 hours per week and requires you to be able to work early mornings i.e. 6am starts.
As Trade Manager, you will be the face of the business dealing directly with trade customers, assisting with sales, stock replenishment, and developing strong business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate quoting and specifying on a wide range of trade products.
- Face to face customer service and sales in store.
- Ability to build great relationships with our builders sites teams through regular phone calls.
- Provide great service and advice to customers on hardware products
- Build relationships with customers and be able to identify their needs
- Manage stock levels, minimise shrinkage and stock loss
- Maintain correct stock tickets
- Deal with all enquiries professionally and provide timely feedback to our customers.
Required skills and attributes:
- Customer Service and or business development background
- Forklift licence highly desirable
- Manual Vehicle Licence
- Knowledge of trade products
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to work within a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Ability to handle products appropriately to minimise damage
- Previous experience in cash handling and point of sale
- Computer literate and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills and an enjoyment of working with people
- Genuine commitment to safety and company values
