THE OPPORTUNITY
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Drummond Street campus – onsite parking.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period.
Holmesglen’s Centre for Energy and Infrastructure is looking for qualified trainers to deliver industry-standard training and assessment in Overhead Distribution (UET30621) and Underground Distribution (UET30821) for the Electrical Supply Industry at our Drummond Street location.
In this role, you will oversee the learning journey of apprentices and current workers, employing diverse teaching and assessment strategies tailored to their varied learning needs. In addition, you will contribute to the validation and continuous enhancement of learning and assessment tools to support effective program delivery.

ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience as a trainer of ESI and VESI programs, with the ability to deliver industry-relevant skills that meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Current Electrical Supply Industry skills, lines worker registration with Energy Safe Victoria, and relevant underground cable jointer qualification (for UET30821).
- Experience in implementing the latest training and assessment strategies to meet student and course requirements.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
- Ability to function autonomously, work independently and/or coordinate work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills essential for effective teaching.
