About the Role:
The Underbody Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly, maintenance, and repair of various automotive underbody components. These tasks will include but are not limited to, diagnosing problems, replacing parts, and performing preventative maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest automotive technologies and be able to work efficiently and accurately to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair under-vehicle issues such as brake, suspension, and steering problems
- Fabricate and fit custom exhaust systems
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections
- Fitment of towbars, bullbars, electronic rust suppression systems etc
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and best practices
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold a Certificate II in Automotive Underbody Technology (AUR21220) and/or a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) or similar. In addition, they will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
