East Coast Diesels, located in Maroochydore, is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our busy and growing team. About You: A self-starter, you're confident in both workshop and on-site environments. You have a proactive approach to all situations, coupled with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service are your primary focus. You excel in diagnosing faults and maintaining and repairing a broad range of trucks and equipment, showcasing a quick problem-solving attitude and an eye for detail. Skills in welding and electrics are highly regarded.

About Us: East Coast Diesels (ECD) provides services to the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and surrounding areas, specializing in fixed plant maintenance, fleet management, and the servicing, repairs & maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles, earth-moving & civil, agricultural, and associated diesel equipment.

The Role: Join our high-performing team, dedicated to exceeding our customer expectations. As a valued team member, you'll engage in accurate record-keeping, timely job completion, workshop and on-site maintenance, repairs & services, and ensure adherence to safe work practices. Your role will involve working both independently and collaboratively within a team, delivering exceptional customer service. The role will provide a gateway to career pathways and further skill advancement.

Essential Work Skills and Attributes:

  • Trade Certificate and a minimum of 2 years post-trade experience
  • Current Driver's license (HR preferred)
  • Welding qualifications/experience
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship
  • Professional appearance, conduct, and work environment
  • Ability to think creatively and identify new business opportunities
  • Desire for success and commitment to going the extra mile
  • Enthusiasm and a sense of humour
