Truck Mechanic

About Us:

Brackens Field Maintenance is a mechanical repair workshop in Dalby, QLD. We specialise in repairs, rebuilds, maintenance, and servicing on earth-moving equipment, trucks, utes, and commercial vehicles.

Job Description:

This role is for immediate start Monday to Friday with overtime optional.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working alongside other experienced mechanics you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on a range of trucks, trailers and heavy machinery with (duties/responsibilities) including:

• Carrying out minor & major services.
• General diagnostic & repair work on electrical or mechanical faults.
• Engine & component rebuilds.
• Workshop based with some mobile/field servicing & repairs.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

·         Trade qualified with minimum of 2 years’ experience.

·         Well-developed communication and customer service skills.

·         The ability to work within a team or unsupervised.

·         Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.

·         Diagnostic experience (CAT, Cummins, Japanese trucks highly regarded).

·         Commitment to quality control, continuous improvement and working to schedules.

·         Problem solving skills & high attention to detail.

·         Ability to work efficiently & adhere to time frames.

·         Current manual driver’s license.

·         Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

·         A strong commitment to Brackens Field Maintenance policies & procedures.

·         Forklift ticket & truck license (or the ability to acquire one).
